The crown is the kind of restoration covering a visible part of a tooth and fixed by special cement. Unlike a seal which restores one or several surfaces of a tooth, the crown covers a tooth completely.

Our dentist can advise you to make a crown for different reasons - but all these reasons can be reduced to one of three main sub-reasons:

·        Restoration of the initial form of a tooth

·         Tooth strengthening

·        Improvement of appearance of a tooth

Crowns are made of a variety of different materials such as porcelain, gold, acrylic resin or a mix of these materials. Porcelain generally has the most natural appearance, although it is often less durable.

In our practice we also use temporary crowns. They made from plastic and the basic function of temporary crowns – protection of the tooth and gum against harmful or aggressive influences while the permanent crown will be installed.

With proper care, your new crown will increase your overall health and add confidence for years to come.
