The success of a dental implant, and the ability to support a dental restoration, depends on how much bone is available in the site where the implant is placed.

Bone loss can occurred due to previous extractions, gum disease or any other injuries. Looks like a big problem? Not at all!

Patelka Dental has great techniques available to replace missing bone. It is a Bone Grafting procedure. Bone Grafting is the replacement of the bone around the teeth.

Our specialist can increase the height and the width of bone. Once it is placed, it will help replace missing bone, stimulate bone formation and increase bone volume. This procedure also gives us a chance to restore functionality and esthetic appearance.

It is recommended that the material used for a bone grafting comes from patient’s own bone. This material is usually removed from the back part of lower jaw. If our patient does not want to have bone removed from his own body, or there are different circumstances we offer alternatives, such as a donor material. Synthetic materials might also be used.
